•It is located on a large area under the square of the Piazza del Comune in Assisi. The Museum has been recently restructured, and now allows the visitor to a suggestive “archaeological walk” which shows numerous Umbrian-Roman rests, an original paving, a cistern and the steps which connected to the Tempio di Minerva. People on wheelchair can park their car in the Piazza del Comune (in front of the tourist office or at the beginning of the street Via Gabriele dell'Addolorata). The museum has 2 entrances: one inVia Portica, which has 3 steps, and the other in Via dei Priori, which has a 4,5 m. long ramp with a 19% slope. The second entrance is better accessible from the square of the Chiesa Nuova, which has a paving with small slopes (instead of Via dei Priori which has a 20% slope). The internal space of the museum has stone, brick, cement and glass paving. The part with glass paving is accessible by 2 small metallic ramps. The minimum doorway is 88 cm large. Near the entrance a projection explains the museum to visitors. The museum does not have an accessible toilet.
